Why do capable people struggle, even when they know what needs to be done? Is it them, or the conditions around them? And if those conditions changed, would they think and decide differently, and would the organisations they work in be better for it?

Those questions have run through every part of my working life. It began in psychology and communications, exploring how people think, connect and thrive. That curiosity led into digital transformation in government, leading national-scale initiatives, including the digital transformation of Singapore’s national museum collections and a whole-of-government programme across public institutions. The lesson there: every technological change is deeply human at its core.

Then came a training and consultancy practice of my own, for organisations in Singapore and India, and two decades teaching meditation in corporate and community settings, locally, regionally and internationally. Both showed how much depends on being able to pause before acting.

Sentered is where those questions became research: what happens to human judgment at work, and can the conditions around it be changed in ways that matter? Certified in AI ethics and governance, I remain, above all, a practitioner and a researcher.

Calm isn’t a luxury. It’s a precondition.
